A/Prof Craig Haifer

I grew up in Sydney before moving to Melbourne, where I completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours at Monash University in 2010 under a Monash University scholarship. My specialty training took place at the Austin Hospital, Monash Health and Western Health in Melbourne before I returned to Sydney to complete further fellowships in inflammatory bowel disease at St Vincent’s Hospital and Concord Repatriation General Hospital. I completed a PhD through the University of Sydney assessing the role of the gut microbiome and it's manipulation with faecal transplantation (FMT).

I became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2017 and have since worked as a specialist gastroenterologist at St Vincent’s Hospital and Concord Hospital in Sydney.

In addition to my work in Bondi Junction and Wagga Wagga I am a staff specialist in the gastroenterology department and IBD service at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney

I perform endoscopic procedures at Double Bay Day Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital and Riverina Day Surgery.
